الدرس ده عن إيه؟

A review is a critical evaluation of a subject, such as a book, a product, a service, an app or a performance. Its purpose is to give an informed opinion that helps other people decide whether to try it or avoid it.

الـ review يعني تقييم أو «ريفيو»: زي اللي بتقراه قبل ما تنزّل أبليكيشن أو تشتري موبايل أو تتفرج على فيلم. إنت جرّبت الحاجة دي، وبتقول للناس: حلوة في إيه، وحشة في إيه، وأنصح مين بيها.

في الكتاب الدرس ده في Unit 4: The Power of Choice، الجزء بتاع الـ digital consumption (التطبيقات والشاشات)، صفحة Structure of a Review وUseful Phrases (صفحة 121-122). المهمة في الكتاب: review (150-180) words عن أبليكيشن سوشيال ميديا أو منصة رقمية من اختيارك، يتكلم عن الحلو والوحش وينتهي بـ توصية واضحة. وكمان فيه Oral Review Presentation (ريفيو شفوي دقيقتين) بنفس الهيكل.

الريفيو بيختلف عن مقال الرأي في إيه؟

An opinion article argues for one side of an issue. A review evaluates one subject fairly: it shows the strengths and the weaknesses, then gives a recommendation.

A well-written review follows a clear four-part structure. Each paragraph has a specific purpose.

ينفع تحط عنوان صغير فوق الريفيو (زي اسم الأبليكيشن + رأي سريع)، بس الأساس اللي الكتاب بيطلبه هو الأربع فقرات.

العبارات المفيدة (Phrase bank من الكتاب + زيادة)

الكتاب بيقسم العبارات لـ «For» (مع/مميزات) و«Against» (ضد/عيوب). الـ Checklist بيطلب إنك تستخدم عبارتين على الأقل منها.

  1. اختار حاجة تعرفها كويس: أبليكيشن أو منصة بتستخدمها فعلًا (الكتاب بيقول: Select a platform or app that you know well). كده الأمثلة هتطلع منك بسهولة.
  2. حدد القارئ (audience): زمايلك؟ أولياء الأمور؟ ناس عايزة تنزّل الأبليكيشن؟ ده بيحدد أسلوبك وتوصيتك.
  3. اكتب خطة في 4 سطور: (1) الاسم + هو إيه + انطباعي. (2) ميزتين + مثال لكل واحدة. (3) عيب أو اتنين. (4) الحكم + أنصح بيه مين.
