Passion, Hobbies and Community
أهم كلمات Unit 7 (Discovering Your Passion) بالمعنى الإنجليزي والعربي وأمثلة، وعيلات الكلمات والـ collocations وتدريبات زي Review D.
الدرس ده عن إيه؟
This page collects the key vocabulary of Unit 7: Discovering Your Passion. Each word has a simple English meaning, the Arabic meaning and a short example. Then you will practise word families, collocations, prefixes and suffixes, synonyms and antonyms.
الصفحة دي فيها أهم كلمات Unit 7: Discovering Your Passion، متقسمة حسب دروس الوحدة. الوحدة بتتكلم عن الهواية (hobby) وإزاي ممكن تكبر وتبقى فرصة (opportunity) أو مجتمع (community)، وإزاي تسيب أثر (mark / legacy) لما تعلّم غيرك، وإزاي توازن بين شغفك ومذاكرتك من غير ما تتحرق (burnout).
الكلمات دي متاخدة من نصوص الوحدة وجداول الـ Vocabulary وMedia Analysis: Key Concepts في الكتاب: 7.1 From Hobby to Opportunity (مريم وتزيين الكيك)، 7.2 Community Around Your Passion (يوسف وتصليح العجل)، 7.3 Leaving Your Mark (حسن ونادي الشطرنج)، 7.4 Balancing Passion and Priorities (ثريد SideQuestEG)، وكمان Consolidation Review D.
إزاي تذاكر الكلمات صح؟
Do not learn a word alone. Learn its meaning in context, its family (noun, verb, adjective, adverb) and the words that usually go with it (collocations).
أسئلة الكتاب والمراجعات مش بتسألك «ترجم الكلمة» وخلاص. بتحطلك الكلمة جوه جملة وتسألك معناها في السياق ده (What does … mean in this context?)
- اعرف الكلمة بتيجي مع إيه (collocation) زي place an order مش do an order.
- اكتب جملة بنفسك عن موضوع الوحدة بكل كلمة جديدة. الكتاب بيطلب كده في Practice: Write FOUR sentences using words from the text.

فقرة بالكلمات الجديدة
اقرا الفقرة دي وركّز على الكلمات اللي بالـ bold. كلها من الوحدة:
When Karim was fourteen, drawing was just a hobby. His first sketches looked wonky, but he kept going. Through an accumulation of small requests, his cousins began to place orders for birthday cards, and soon he had a waiting list. At that point, he was so obsessed with drawing that he stopped sleeping well, and he almost suffered from burnout.
A mentor at his youth centre gave him blunt but genuinely useful advice: "Consistency beats intensity." Karim decided to set aside thirty minutes every evening for deliberate practice, and he made this time non-negotiable. Today he runs a free weekend class for younger students. His skill is getting passed on, and that is his real legacy.
