Informational Leaflet
An informational leaflet is a printed or digital document that gives concise, factual and easy-to-read information about a topic, a product, a service or an organisation. Its purpose is to educate the reader, raise awareness or explain a process quickly.
Can Nature Power the World?
An article is written in full paragraphs. A leaflet is written in short sections with subheadings and bullet points, so the reader can scan it in a few seconds.
Leaflet | |
|---|---|---|
(Key Features)
| Feature | Description (English) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Eye-catching headline | Grabs the reader’s attention immediately — use a question or bold statement. | Can the Wind Keep Your Lights On? |
| Subheadings | Organise content into clear, easy-to-navigate sections. | What is wind energy? / What can you do? |
| Bullet points | Present key information concisely and accessibly. | • The wind is free. |
| Call to action | Encourages the reader to do something specific. | Switch off chargers today! |
| Tone and register | Matches the intended audience — friendly yet informative for young people. | You can make a difference. |
| Visuals | Images or diagrams support and enhance the written text. | [Picture: wind turbines by the sea] |
[Picture: solar panels on a school roof].

Can the Wind Keep Your Lights On?
A quick guide to wind energy in Egypt — and how you can be part of it.
[Picture: wind turbines by the Red Sea]
What is wind energy?
• Wind turbines use the kinetic energy of moving air to produce electricity.
• The wind is free, and it will never run out.
Why does it matter?
• Burning fossil fuels leads to carbon emissions and global warming.
• Wind farms produce almost no emissions while they work, so they could reduce pollution significantly.
• Egypt already has large wind farms on the Gulf of Suez, where the wind is strong and steady.
What are the challenges?
• The wind does not always blow, so batteries may be needed to store energy.
• Turbines might harm migrating birds, so wind farms should be planned carefully.
How can you help?
• Learn about clean energy and share it with your family.
• Save electricity at home: switch off lights and chargers you are not using.
• Ask your teacher to organise a talk about renewable energy.
The future is blowing your way. Choose clean energy today!
- Eye-catching headline:
- Sub-title: سطر تحت العنوان بيقول الـ leaflet هيقدّم إيه (a quick guide) وبيكلّم القارئ مباشرة (you). الـ dash هنا للـ emphasis على الجزء الأخير: and how you can be part of it.
(What / Why / What are the challenges / How can you help)
- Bullet points:
- Cause & effect + modals: leads to (سبب ← نتيجة)، could reduce (إمكانية)، may be needed وmight harm (حذر)، should be planned (نصيحة).
- Call to action: النقط تحت How can you help فيها خطوات محددة (switch off chargers، ask your teacher)، والجملة الأخيرة قوية ومحددة: Choose clean energy today!
- Tone: ودود ومفيد للشباب (you / your family / your teacher)، والـ colon في Save electricity at home: بتقدّم توضيح.
