Write & Speak

Write & Speak — “How I changed my lifestyle”: write 120–150 words. Say what you used to do, what you have changed, what was hard to get used to and what you are used to now. Then talk for one minute about one habit you want to change.

Example: Two years ago my lifestyle was very unhealthy. I used to stay up until two in the morning watching series, and I used to skip breakfast because I was always late for work. I drank fizzy drinks every day and I didn't use to do any exercise. I put on twelve kilos and I felt tired all the time. After a check-up, my doctor told me that my blood pressure was high. That was a shock, so I decided to change. I cut out fizzy drinks and took up walking. At first it was really hard to get used to going to bed at eleven, and I missed the sugar in my tea. But slowly I got used to it. Now I'm used to waking up early and walking along the Nile for forty minutes before work. I have much more energy and I've lost eight kilos.
